2021 "Can't Blame Me, She Started It" Anime: Higehiro

Kind of like when the guy in Love Hina falls on boobs, but way more elaborate

(Hi! Here’s something I wrote last year after watching the anime in question and never posted. Why? Basically, I felt the satisfaction of a quick slam review like this wasn’t worth some obsessive becoming obsessively mad about it; I have had quite enough of that from the time I talked about Fate/Go. Having a subscriber newsletter fixes the whole “everybody can see it” thing, so I decided to post it here.)

I like to know what’s going on in the culture, which is why I watched Higehiro: I Shaved and Took In A High School Runaway. The title is pretty dangerous, but I had noticed the light novel readers I follow saying that first book was actually quite good and “not what you’re thinking”, so what the hell, I gave it a shot. The excellent JK Haru had proven my worst assumptions wrong. Why not this?
