After watching the movie Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan’s Island, I obviously wanted to revisit the infamous episode the film is based on.

But that’s the thing! Part of the legend of Doan’s Island is that series creator Yoshiyuki Tomino hates the outsourced episode so much that he requested it be deleted outright from foreign releases of the Gundam TV series. So if you go on Crunchyroll and watch Mobile Suit Gundam, there are only 42 episodes.

Your only option to see Doan’s Island for yourself is to buy the Japanese Blu-Ray set or, well, to pirate it. Moving on!
