If I didn't know better I'd guess the 7 screenshots were from 2 or 3 different shows. Maybe it works better animated (or maybe I'm just not accustomed enough to the visual style of the original) but that's the impression I get.
Couple possible reasons for this. One is these screenshots definitely vary in general image quality: some are full-res screenshots and others are low-res publicity shots from Bandai. (I can get away with using those full-res shots on a blog like this, but definitely not if I were on a big website!) The other is that Doan's squad really do look like they're flown in from another movie, particularly the lady who's straight out of a late 90s Sunrise production. You don't see a lot of these characters, and what little time they have is mostly combat situations, so you don't see the clash onscreen as they're never in frame with anybody from the regular cast.
The CG model-kit looking mecha are also just a major clash, as mentioned.
